Prayers are requested for Ron Thorn, who suffered a small stroke on Tuesday afternoon, May 5th and for Jeanne Thorn, for strength as his caregiver.
Tomorrow, April 23th is Fr. Sibi’s ordination anniversary–which he feels is a greater day in his life than his own birthday. Please let him know he is in your thoughts and prayers by sending him a quick note: email@example.com
Blessings, David Huni Webmaster
David and Marlene Simpson, former St. Eds members who moved to Henderson, NV in June of 2017, have requested your prayers. The following is from David:
“I apologize if you have already heard any of this.
Marlene is on her 3rd day in the hospital being treated for congestive heart failure with fluid in her lungs. And I am in my 5th week of being locked down in our apartment unable to leave. Even if I could, however, I could not go to the hospital to see her as no visitors are allowed. Very frustrating.
She was tested for the virus when she arrived at ER on Friday morning and it came back negative. Protocol, however, dictates a second test which she was given later that day. Unfortunately, they lost her test and so today (Sunday) she had to have a 3rd test. Results are expected tomorrow so please pray for negative results. Once that happens, the staff does not have to wear hazmat suits in her room & keep the door closed. It must be so scary for her.
She has eaten a couple of meals but is very tired, bored and ready to come home.
Thank you for your prayerful support.
In His ❤️ David & Marlene

The parish has sent an email out to every email address we had on file. These were addresses that were collected when you registered (recently or a zillion years ago) and hopefully updated a few months ago.
IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL from St Edward the Martyr, with the subject line “New St. Edward the Martyr Email Group” this means the office does not have your email address.
Check your SPAM folder to see if it went in there. Please add firstname.lastname@example.org to your contacts list so that doesn’t happen again.
If you didn’t get the message, send an email to email@example.com . Include your name and your current email address.

From Shirley and Nancy–
Due to the uncertain activity and duration of the COVID-19 virus, the annual St. Edward’s Tea and Fashion Show scheduled for May 9th has been cancelled.
In this time of uncertainty, many want to renew their faith and look for pathways to do that. Several years ago now, our Parish purchased a subscription to FORMED, an online collection of learning, videos/movies, webinars and free to read books — available on just about any connected device that can help guide you on your way.
You can access this content by registering for free at the following website:

To help them sanctify their day and to keep walking in the liturgical rhythm of the Church, we are honored to make our online version of MAGNIFICAT temporarily available to everyone for free. Please help us spread this message and share this email and link with as many people as you can. Free temporary access is also available en Espanol . Please pray with us for a speedy and safe end to this time of difficulty in our world.

Below is a suggested prayer of spiritual Communion.
*Jesus, really present in the Most Holy Sacrament of the altar, since I cannot now receive thee under the sacramental veil, I beseech thee, with a heart full of love and longing, to come spiritually into my soul through the Immaculate Heart of thy most Holy Mother, and to abide with me, thou in me, and I in thee, in time and in eternity. Amen*.
